Professional Development for Recovery Coaches: An Introduction

 This Professional Development Series introduction is the beginning of the conversation about the value of coaching work through the lens of an experienced Recovery Coach. Together we will be discovering or rediscovering the “why” you are doing this work, and learning how to manage self-care as a recovering person. We will be gaining a greater understanding of who you are in this work and you will begin to do a deeper dive into self-awareness. This exhilarating workshop starts with gaining greater respect for the value of what you, as a peer coach, bring to your employers, community, and the world. You will learn and reinforce the fact that we as coaches need ongoing self-awareness and professional development to better do the work expected of us and to support the people we serve.
